I really, really love weddings.
Seriously, I can't get enough. I love the emotion of the day, and being part of this momentous time in people's lives, I just think it's the best. To some people it may be just a job, but I truly enjoy what I do, and I think it shows in the images I create and the service I provide.
for me, it's all about you.
I think a wedding should be a celebration, and I want to make sure that you and your loved ones have a fun and relaxed day. I have a calm personality and keep things organised without being bossy or pushy. I'm not at a wedding to be the center of attention, and I won't let the photography get in the way of you having a good time.
Style that won't get stale.
My style is classic and contemporary. Using contrast and realistic color I create dramatic images that will look just as good twenty years from now as they do today. There are always current trends in the way photographers finish their wedding images, but I want to ensure the images I create will stand the test of time.
I take a diverse APPROACH.
Documentary, fine art, lifestyle, classic, photojournalism, natural light, dramatic, traditional... there are a lot of terms photographers use to describe their style and I know it can be hard to narrow down what will be the best fit for you. I think weddings are dynamic and diverse and require an equally diverse style and skill set. I take an unobtrusive and documentary approach to the candid parts of the day, while bringing direction and creative vision to your portraits. I know how important all of the little unplanned details are, but I also know that guidance and direction will make you more comfortable and relaxed for your portraits, and help you look your best.
I have over a decade of experience photographing weddings. This comes with not only the technical skills learned over time, but also a level of familiarity that allows me to help you plan a realistic timeline, stay organized, and work through anything unexpected that may come up.
I'm not afraid of the dark.
It's easy to create beautiful images when you have great natural light available. But weddings happen rain or shine, in many different locations, and usually include an evening reception. Whether it's creating dramatic night time portraits, expertly lit images of your first dance together, or professional looking family formals in a dark sanctuary, I have the skills and equipment to do it right. Skillfully used and well balanced flash can both enhance the available light when it isn't ideal and allow me to create images that would be otherwise impossible.
